Dr. Eric Lam received his medical degree from the University of Hong Kong in 2003. He did postgraduate training at Tseung Kwan O Hospital, Prince of Wales Hospital, Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital, and United Christian Hospitals in Hong Kong. He was awarded fellowships in orthopedics from the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh and the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine in 2010. In 2013, he obtained his Master degree of Science in Sports Medicine and Health Science (MScSMHS) from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Dr. Lam completed spine fellowships at Tohoku University in Sendai, Japan, and at Guy’s and St. Thomas’ Hospitals, and London Bridge Hospital in London, United Kingdom.
Dr. Lam is an orthopedic spine surgeon with expertise in various spine conditions, particularly degenerative spine disorders. Apart from conventional cervical and lumbar spine surgery, he is also skilled in the latest surgical techniques, including computer-navigation-assisted pedicle screw insertion and instrumented spinal fusion, minimally invasive spine surgery, artificial disc replacement, diagnostic and therapeutic spinal injections, and nucleoplasty.
Dr. Lam is an honorary clinical assistant professor at both the University of Hong Kong and the Chinese University of Hong Kong, as well as a trainer. He is a member of the Spine Chapter of the Hong Kong Orthopedic Association, AOSpine, and the North American Spine Society.
Dr Lam is also a visiting consultant at United Family Guangzhou Clinic.
