Biography

Physiotherapist Zou Jun received his Master’s degree in Clinical Medicine from Nanjing University. After working as an orthopedic surgeon for a few years in China, he moved to Canada. In Canada, he spent 4 years at Concordia University studying Exercise Science (specializing in Athletic Therapy).

Physiotherapist Zou has over 8 years of professional experience working as an Athletic Therapist, and is fully certified by the Canadian Athletic Therapists Association (CATA). Whilst in Canada, Physiotherapist Zou collaborated with a variety of sports teams including American football, rugby, hockey, ice dancing, swimming, soccer, basketball, volleyball, badminton, tennis and golf. Physiotherapist Zou has treated both recreational and professional athletes including world champions, to help them prevent injuries, facilitate post-injury rehabilitation, and enhance sports performance. He has also treated orthopedic surgery patients for pre-op and post-op rehabilitation, as well as active and sedentary patients to relieve them of chronic injury- related pain and improve their overall quality of life.

In addition to working with patients in the world of sports, Physiotherapist Zou has successfully helped post-partum women to restore their pelvic stability and relieve their lower back pain. He also worked as the head therapist of the Cirque Du Soleil show “X: The Land of Fantasy” in Montreal and Hangzhou from 2018 to 2019.

Physiotherapist Zou Jun is experienced at not only treating but also preventing common acute and chronic musculoskeletal injuries, such as lower back pain, neck pain, shoulder pain, elbow pain, wrist pain, knee pain, ankle pain, foot pain and more. Using an individualized combination of manual therapy (i.e., STR, MFR, MWM, ART, etc.), modalities (i.e., TENS, IFC, Ultrasound, etc.), rehab exercise prescription, strength and conditioning training, posture correction and gait training, Dr. Zou has helped many patients recover quickly and effectively.
