Xiangming GUO

Dr. Guo specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of various common and complicated pediatric eye diseases such as congenital dacryocystitis, cataract, lens dislocation, nystagmus, retinal degeneration and optic nerve disease and refractive error, anisometropia, early myopia and amblyopia and genetic testing and genetic counseling. In particular, Dr. Guo has extensive clinical experience in the early diagnosis and treatment of infants and young children with poor visual function, vision care, and early diagnosis and treatment of amblyopia in preschool children.

Dr. Guo has published more than 100 academic papers, including 110 research papers in SCI series journals (more than 30 as first author and corresponding author). He has won the third prize of Guangdong Science and Technology Progress Award, the second prize of Guangdong Natural Science Award, the third prize of Chinese Medicine Award, and the second and third prizes of Sun Yat-sen University Medical Achievement Award.

Dr. Guo speaks English, Mandarin and Cantonese.
