Cavalry JIAN

Dr. Jian received her medical degree in 2006 from the Department of Clinical Medicine in Sun Yat-sen University, and was later awarded a Master’s in Psychiatry in 2013 from Guangzhou Medical University, obtained the qualification of associate chief physician in psychiatry in 2016.

Dr. Jian has over 10 years of clinical experience in psychiatry. Before joining Guangzhou United Family Hospital, Dr. Jian served in the Affiliated Brain Hospital of Guangzhou Medical University (Guangzhou Mental Health Center, Guangzhou Huiai Hospital) as an expert in 2006, and became associate chief physician in 2016. Dr. Jian has a wealth of experience in diagnosing and treating common psychiatric diseases, especially sleep disorder, the early identification and early intervention of generalized anxiety disorder, panic disorder, depression, bipolar disorder, emotional disorders in children, as well as the integrated treatment of drug therapy, psychotherapy, and rehabilitation. Additionally, Dr. Jian has a plenty of experience treating refractory psychiatric disorders such as refractory depression disorder.

In addition to specializing in the treatment and diagnosis of clinical psychiatry, Dr. Jian has completed psychotherapy training in many places including Beijing Anding Hospital, Capital Medical University, and has obtained certifications in cognitive behavioral therapy and family psychotherapy. She is also a consulting hypnotist with the National Guild of Hypnotists (NGH).

In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Jian is published in prominent core medical journals on topics such as bipolar disorder, depression disorder, among others. She has also served as a committee member in several leading Chinese medical societies, including the Sleep Management Branch of Guangdong Medical Industry Association, Guangdong Biomedical Engineering Society, the Guangzhou Medical Association, clinical research group of Psychosomatic Medicine in Guangdong Society of Clinical Medicine, the second “Guangdong Mental Health Association Mental Health Management professional Committee” standing member.

Dr. Jian speaks English, Mandarin, and Cantonese.
