Biography

Before joining Guangzhou United Family Hospital, Physiotherapist Li Xiaogang worked for 11 years at a provincial Grade A hospital and a university affiliated hospital. He then spent 5 years at Global Doctors International Medical Center (Guangzhou/Dongguan), where he rehabilitated loyal patients from more than 60 countries. He served as the training team’s doctor for the 2018 Asian Games Chinese men’s three-man basketball team and the national U23 three-man basketball World Cup team.

Physiotherapist Li is the founder of orthopaedics ORMT therapy and rehabilitation system. He is highly skilled at  neuromusculoskeletal rehabilitation: hemiplegia after stroke, spastic cerebral palsy in children, paraplegia after spinal cord injury and postoperative rehabilitation of bone and joints, foot and spine rehabilitation for adolescents and children (flat foot / 0 or X-leg / scoliosis), advanced precision rehabilitation treatment of sports injuries, and the diagnosis and treatment of spinal related diseases.

Physiotherapist Li  has visited the Orthopaedic Rehabilitation Center of Ogori Daiichi General Hospital in Japan (president unit of the World Society of Microtrauma Surgery) to learn about postoperative rehabilitation of bone and learned about spinal manipulation and sports injury rehabilitation in Italian and German.

Physiotherapist Li  has a number of international certifications, and is a graduate of TakeCare Osteopathic College in Italy (2-year international course). He has certified in European Vodder Lymphatic Drainage technology and has training in German Schroth Scoliosis rehabilitation.
