Biography

Dr. Zhong Lijun received his bachelor’s degree from Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 2001. In 2008, he earned his master’s degree from Zhongshan School of Medicine, Sun Yat-Sen University. In 2009, he studied rehabilitation medicine in the Third Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-Sen University. In 2011, he studied pain medicine in the Union Shenzhen Hospital of Huazhong University of Science and Technology and the Second Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou Medical University. In 2019, he was awarded the title of deputy chief physician. Dr. Zhong has more than 20 years of clinical experience in traditional Chinese and Western medicine.

Prior to joining United Family Hospital, Dr. Zhong worked in the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine at the PLA Southern Theater Command General Hospital (formerly Guangzhou General Hospital of the Guangzhou Military Region) for 16 years. During his time in the military, he was taught by Professor Long Cenghua(龙层花), a famous expert in this field.

Dr. Zhong specializes in the treatment of the following diseases by comprehensive application of traditional bone-setting techniques that were pioneered by Long Cenghua(龙层花).He specializes in physical therapy, rehabilitation training, minimally invasive intervention and other means, to treat the following: Neck, Shoulder and Lower Back Leg Pain: Cervical spondylosis, thoracic facet joint disorder, lumbar disc herniation, low back myofasciitis, postpartum low back pain, shoulder joint pain, sacroiliac joint pain, hip joint pain, knee joint pain, tennis elbow (golf ball), tenosynovitis, heel pain. Orthopedic Rehabilitation: rehabilitation before and after joint replacement, treatment of various complications after fracture, adolescent scoliosis. Sports Injuries: acute treatment of various joint soft tissue injuries and functional rehabilitation in the middle and late stages.

In addition, Dr. Zhong has also made significant contributions to medical scientific research. He has won two military medical achievement awards, participated in three projects of the General Logistics Department of PLA and the Health Department of Guangdong Province, published more than ten professional papers in core journals, and served in many academic organizations, committees and associations in China as a valued member.
