Biography

Dr. Li received his master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Peking University in 2018.

While get a bachelor’s degree in social work from Xiamen University, he completed his psychiatric internship in Xiamen Mental Health Center and Beijing Anding Hospital.

Since 2022, he participated in the China American Psychoanalytic Alliance Basic Two-Year Program. He also received training from Owen Yalom Group Therapy LGBTQ+ Friendly Therapist Program. He has more than 150 hours of individual supervision, more than 150 hours of personal experience, and more than 2,000 hours of psychological assessment and counseling.

Dr. Li specializes in adult intimate relationship, family relationship, interpersonal communication, academic and work troubles, personality development, adolescent psychological development, etc. He utilizes interpretive or supportive psychodynamic psychotherapy and also integrates cognitive behavioral therapy and solution-focused brief therapy.

Dr. Li is the editorial board member of Common Psychological Problems and Practice Research in Youth, and the first translator of a book titled The World of Psychology. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he published a feature article in the book of Heart Care and Epidemic Prevention: Psychological Adjustment Manual in the Face of COVID-19.

As a fully registered clinical and counseling psychologist (X-20-174), Dr. Li is also a member of the Chinese Psychological Society, Clinical and Counseling Psychology Registration System.
