Biography

Dr. Deng is the chief physician of the Department of Neurology. She graduated from the Institute of Neurology of Guangzhou Medical University in 2007 and then worked in the Fifth affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou Medical University. In 2022, she was appointed Chief physician of Neurology of Guangzhou Medical University. She participated in the advanced research class of neurodegenerative venereal diseases of Peking Union Medical College in 2021.

Dr. Deng has been engaged in clinical, scientific research and teaching in neurology for nearly 20 years. proficient in the diagnosis and treatment of common diseases in neurology (including cerebrovascular disease, dizziness, migraine, leukoencephalopathy, limb numbness, facial paralysis, central nervous system infection, epilepsy, memory impairment, Parkinson’s disease, etc.) and difficult diseases of the nervous system (myasthenia gravis, motor neuron disease). Familiar with the application of neuroelectrophysiological techniques (including electroencephalogram (EEG), electromyography (EMG), transcranial Doppler (TCD), nystagmus) in nervous system diseases. She has rich clinical experience in standardized diagnosis and treatment of cerebrovascular disease and migraine, early diagnosis of memory impairment, regulation of Parkinson’s disease and preoperative evaluation of DBS, manual reduction of complex otolithiasis and so on. She was employed as an expert in the Department of Neurology of Chaoan District people’s Hospital for 2 years, responsible for ward rounds and technical promotion of difficult and critical cases.

Dr. Deng has also made many achievements in clinical scientific research, presiding over two scientific research projects in Guangdong Province and Guangzhou, mainly participating in three projects, focusing on cerebrovascular diseases, neurodegenerative diseases and headaches, and published more than 20 academic papers. She currently works in a number of academic organizations in China, as a member of the Neurodegenerative Diseases Committee of the Chinese Society of microcirculation, a member of the Cerebrovascular Diseases Branch of Guangdong Medical Association, a director of Parkinson and dyskinesia Branch of Guangdong Rehabilitation Medical Association, and a member of headache Branch of Guangdong Association of Precision Medicine.
