Biography

Pharmacist Li graduated from the Second Military Medical University (now the Naval Military Medical University) in 1998. He received his Master’s degree from the same institution in 2007 and subsequently obtained his pharmacist’s license. In 2019, Pharmacist Li was awarded a Doctorate degree from South China University of Technology.

With over 25 years of clinical experience, Pharmacist Li has worked in large tertiary public hospitals for 20 years, including 10 years as a clinical pharmacist and 7 years as a clinical pharmacist trainer. Prior to joining Guangzhou United Family Hospital, he also served as the Director of Drug Evaluation at the Guangdong Pharmaceutical Society, gaining extensive experience in clinical pharmacy and clinical drug research. Pharmacist Li excels in medication services and management for cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, antimicrobials, maternal and infant medications, geriatric medications, and common/frequent illnesses.

In addition to his pharmacist duties, Pharmacist Li obtained a Medication Therapy Management (MTM) certificate from the American Pharmaceutical Association in 2016 and is fully qualified to teach in Chinese. He was recognized as one of the “Top 100 National Clinical Pharmacist Instructors” in 2016 and has received ten annual commendations from his previous unit. In 2022, Pharmacist Li was awarded the UFH Way United Family Group Annual Medical Technology Award and was named the most popular doctor in the pharmacy department of the United Family Internet Hospital. In 2024, he was honored as the “Most Beautiful Pharmacist” in the ninth Guangdong Province selection.

Pharmacist Li has participated in the research and promotion of the “Chinese Hospital Pharmacovigilance System” (versions 1.0 and 2.0) by the Drug Evaluation Center of the National Medical Products Administration, with the results applied in nearly 400 tertiary hospitals in China. He has published nearly 50 papers in various core journals, including 4 indexed in SCI. Pharmacist Li has edited 1 monograph, co-edited 2, and participated in the compilation and translation of 15 books. He has been granted 3 invention patents, presided over a sub-project of a major science and technology plan project in Guangzhou City, and participated in 2 provincial-level scientific research projects in Guangdong Province. He has also participated in nearly 10 national and provincial related projects and has been involved in the publication of 6 software copyrights.

In December 2023, Pharmacist Li was appointed as the Deputy Director of the Second Medication Therapy Management Expert Committee of the Guangdong Pharmaceutical Society. In March 2024, he was appointed as the Deputy Director of the Second Drug Re-evaluation Professional Committee of the Guangdong Pharmaceutical Society. In November 2023, he was appointed as the Executive Committee Member of the Ninth Geriatric Pharmacy Professional Committee of the Guangdong Pharmaceutical Society. In March 2024, he was appointed as the Executive Committee Member of the Second Pharmacovigilance Working Committee of the Guangdong Pharmaceutical Society. In May 2024, he was appointed as the Executive Committee Member of the Ninth Pharmaceutical Affairs Management Professional Committee of the Guangdong Pharmaceutical Society.

Pharmacist Li is fluent in both Mandarin and English.
