Biography

Dr. Li graduated from the Second Military Medical University (now the Naval Military Medical University) in 1998 and received his Master’s degree from the same institution in 2007 and later received certification as a licensed pharmacist. Dr. Li was awarded a Doctorate degree in 2019 from South China University of Technology.

was later awarded a medical Doctorate degree in 2014 from Southern Medical University.

Dr. Li has more than 20 years of clinical experience. Before joining Guangzhou United Family Hospital, Dr. Li worked in large tertiary public hospitals for 20 years, including 10 years as a clinical pharmacist, and serving as a clinical pharmacist trainer for 7 years. He served as the director of the drug evaluation department with the Guangdong Pharmacological Society in 2017 and has a wealth of experience in hospital pharmacy and clinical drug research. He is skilled in the management of cardiovascular diseases, antibacterial drugs, and maternal and pediatric medication.

In addition to focusing on his work as a pharmacist, Dr. Li obtained a Medication Therapy Management (MTM) certificate issued by the American Pharmaceutical Association in 2016 and is qualified to teach in Chinese. He participated in the research, development, and promotion of the Chinese Hospital Pharmacovigilance System (CHPS v1.0 and v2.0) with the Drug Evaluation Center of the China Food and Drug Administration (CFDA). The CHPS has been applied in nearly 100 tertiary hospitals in China. In addition, he has published nearly 40 Chinese core journal articles including 3 SCI cited articles, and has been granted 2 authorized patents. He has also received grants for major science and technology projects in Guangzhou.

Dr. Li was a member of the 16th Session of the Pharmacy Committee of the Guangdong Pharmaceutical Association and the 6th Council of the Guangdong Economic Health Association and the first committee of the Guangzhou Military Command Clinical Rational Medicine Committee and is currently a member and secretary of the 2nd Clinical Pharmacology Committee of Guangdong Pharmacology Society, the Deputy Secretary-General of the Pharmacovigilance Alliance of the Guangdong Pharmacological Society, and editorial board member of the Chinese Edition Editorial Committee of the Annals Of Pharmacotherapy, deputy chairman of the second Expert Committee on Drug Therapy Management, Guangdong Pharmaceutical Society.
