Dr. Zhang received her medical degree from Guangzhou Medical University in 1995, and was later awarded a Master’s degree in Medicine from Guangzhou Medical University in 2007. Dr. Zhang completed her residency training program in Anesthesiology at the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou Medical University in 2001, where she developed expertise in managing surgical conditions including general, obstetric and gynecological, orthopedic, thoracic, neurological, maxillofacial, ENT, and pediatric surgeries and procedures.
Dr. Zhang has clinical experience over 20 years. Before joining Guangzhou United Family Hospital, Dr. Zhang served at the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou Medical University as an expert in anesthesiology for 20 years. From 2015 to 2017, she worked and studied in Australia for two and a half years, including one and a half years of clinical practice in anesthesiology. She received and passed Advanced Life Support (ALS) training and assessment. She also attended an Effective Management of Anesthetic Crises (EMAC) course in Australia. Dr. Zhang is highly skilled in Peri-operative Medicine and managing and resuscitating critically ill patients, as well as in treating patients with acute or cancer pain.
Dr. Zhang participated and led several research programs. In the role of first author, she has published several research papers in various academic journals in anesthesiology well-known internationally and nationally, including the British Journal of Anaesthesia and the Chinese Journal of Anesthesiology.
Dr. Zhang is a member of the Chinese Society of Anesthesiology.
Dr. Zhang speaks English, Mandarin, and Cantonese.
