Justin LEI

Dr. Lei received his medical degree from University of South China in 2008, and later studied in Zhongshan Ophthalmic Center, Sun Yat-sen University for 2 years. In 2011, he received his Master of Science degree in Ophthalmology and Visual Science from The Chinese University of Hong Kong. Dr. Lei completed his residency in Ophthalmology at Guangdong No.2 Provincial People’s Hospital in 2013, where he rotated through inpatient and outpatient wards and developed expertise in managing conditions ranging from the anterior eye segment to posterior eye surgery. Dr. Lei specializes in multiple treatments including cataract extraction combined with intraocular lens implantation (Phaco and MSICS), strabismus correction, ocular trauma surgery, pterygium excision, excision of eyelid tumors to name a few.

Dr. Lei has over 10 years of clinical experience and in addition to his clinical work, in 2016 he was selected to join a Chinese medical team for a trip to Ghana for one year and received an award for his outstanding achievements.

Dr. Lei is a member of many associations including the China International Emergency Medical Team (Guangdong), Ophthalmological Society of Ghana, and Guangzhou Children’s Ophthalmology Society among many others and he is published in many prominent medical journals.

Dr. Lei speaks English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.
