Dr. Wang received his medical degree in Guangzhou Medical University in 1994, after completing his residency in basic surgery and orthopedics in Guangzhou Red Cross Hospital. Dr. Wang later completed a Master’s and Doctorate in orthopedic sports medicine in the Chinese University of Hong Kong between 2000 and 2006. During that same period, Dr. Wang also attained Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons FRCSEd(Orth) and Fellow of the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine FHKAM(Orth) from the Department of Orthopedics and Traumatology in the Prince of Wales Hospital in Hong Kong.
Dr. Wang has cared for orthopedics patients for well over two decades. Dr. Wang is skilled in treating various sport injuries, joint diseases, fractures, and spine, foot and ankle disorders and specializes in arthroscopic surgeries including arthroscopic anterior/posterior cruciate ligament (ACL/PCL) reconstruction, meniscus repair, cartilage repair, rotator cuff repair, hip impingement decompression, ankle sprain reinforcement, among others. Dr. Wang attended several world famous medical centers as a visiting scholar, including Royal Melbourne Hospital, Massachusetts General Hospital, Dusseldorf Emmerich Hospital in Germany, and the Mardi Shoulder Hospital in Seoul Korea.
Dr. Wang has also served as a member of several leading Chinese medical societies including Chinese Society of Sports Medicine and the Chinese Society of Orthopedics. Dr. Wang has published six articles in prominent western medical journals, including International Journal of Sports Medicine.
Dr. Wang speaks fluent English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.
