Catherine TANG

Dr. Tang graduated in 2006 with a medical degree from Guangzhou Medical University. In 2014, she was awarded her Master’s degree in Dermatology from the same institution.

Before joining Guangzhou United Family Hospital, Dr. Tang practiced in Liwan Hospital of The Third Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou Medical University for more than 10 years. As a dermatologist, she is highly skilled in the treatment of autoimmune diseases, especially atopic dermatitis and chronic urticaria in children, cosmetic laser therapy, and skin pigment management such as tattoo removal, ota nevus, café-au-lait macules, and blue nevus.

Dr. Tang is a highly skilled clinician with numerous achievements in medical research. During her master’s degree, she focused on the study of chronic urticaria, and was awarded the title of Excellent Paper by Guangzhou Medical Association in 2016. In 2017, she successfully applied for a special research project which was funded by Guangzhou Health Bureau. She has published several papers in core medical journals.

Dr. Tang has also been actively involved in various speaking and teaching competitions. In 2018, she was honored with the title of Outstanding Speaker at the National Academic Speaking Competition organized by the Chinese Medical Doctor Association’s Dermatology Branch. Currently, she holds memberships in several medical organizations, including the Chinese Medical Association, Guangdong Preventive Medicine Association’s Dermatology and Venereology Prevention and Treatment Professional Committee, and the Guangdong Medical Doctor Association’s Dermatology Branch’s Allergy and Immunology Professional Committee.

In addition to her clinical and research accomplishments, Dr. Tang is a certified physician for several advanced medical treatments and procedures. She is an officially certified physician for Allergan’s Juvederm and Botox, an officially certified operator for Thermage, CoolSculpting, and Avilane injections, a certified doctor for microwave hyperhidrosis treatment, a certified operator for the European Star Fotona 4D Pro, a certified physician for Aike’s Hi-Body, and a certified physician for the Israeli Meditech Golden Microneedle.

Dr. Tang speaks English, Mandarin and Cantonese.
