Biography

After graduating from the Department of Clinical Medicine of Sun Yat-Sen University in 2013, Dr. Au joined the Department of General Surgery, where he completed his standardized training for residents in the First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-Sen University. During his residency, his role was to provide diagnosis and treatment for inpatients and emergency patients in general surgery.

He completed his Master’s degree in hepatobiliary surgery in the First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-Sen University in 2019, and completed the standardized training of surgical residents and the systematic training of the College of Basic Surgery in the First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-Sen University in 2022.

Before joining the Guangzhou United Family Hospital, Dr. Au worked in general surgery at the First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-Sen University for nearly 10 years, and is highly proficient in the diagnosis and treatment of common diseases and critically patients in general surgery. He has rich clinical experience in cholecystolithiasis, intrahepatic and extrahepatic cholelithiasis, hepatobiliary tumors, common acute abdomen, external abdominal hernia, thyroid diseases, phimosis, emergency trauma and other diseases. He is also very familiar with the surgical treatment of body surface tumors, thyroid, hemorrhoids and other general surgical diseases. His specialties include minimally invasive surgery for inguinal hernia, cholecystolithiasis, appendicitis and other diseases. At the same time, he is excellent at dealing with hemorrhoids, perianal abscess, anal fissure, anal fistula, and other drug and surgical treatments.

In addition to focusing on clinical work, Dr. Au has been involved in the teaching of surgical clinical skills for a significant duration of time during his time at the First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-Sen University, teaching clinical skills and promoting surgical medical knowledge. In 2021, as a key member, he completed his MOOC certification in “General Surgery is not Ordinary” at Sun Yat-Sen University.
