Biography

Dr. Jiang ‘s comprehensive spinal surgeries are among the top tier in China, and his minimally invasive and revision spinal surgeries rank at the forefront domestically. He has taken the lead in establishing a multidisciplinary team for complex spinal diseases, and has successfully performed a large number of complex spinal surgeries, including transoral upper cervical spine surgery, spinal deformity correction, and tumor resection and reconstruction. Emphasizing both traditional Chinese and Western medicine, Dr. Jiang is highly proficient in traditional Chinese medicine and uses massage techniques with sticks, possessing extensive experience in conservative, minimally invasive, and open treatments for spinal diseases. He is fully committed to selecting the most appropriate treatment methods for patients. His targeted anchoring vertebroplasty technique, endoscopic decompression technique, and endoscopic nucleus staining technique, which he pioneered internationally, have been widely spread and utilized. The SAPREF foraminaplasty system, oblique direct operation lateral fusion exposure system, and ETC endoscopic fusion system, which he led in developing, have been broadly applied. He has consulted and demonstrated surgeries in over 200 hospitals nationwide.

Dr. Jiang currently holds positions in several academic organizations in China, serving as the Vice-Chairman of the World Minimally Invasive Society Spinal Endoscopy Intervertebral Fusion Alliance, Vice-Chairman of the SICOT China Youth Committee, a Young Lecturer for Aospine, Director of the Osteoporosis Branch of the Guangdong Precision Medicine Association, and Director of the Spinal Medicine Branch of the Guangdong Health Science Popularization Promotion Association. He is in charge of multiple research projects, has served as the Deputy Editor of “Osteoporotic Thoracolumbar Fractures,” led 3 National Natural Science Foundation projects, 16 other projects, and guided 6 National Natural Science Foundation projects. He has published 5 papers in the first zone of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and obtained 13 national patents. He won the third prize in the 2014 Chinese Medical Association Orthopedic Academic Conference paper competition, was the first principal to receive the second prize in the 2019 China Association of Integrative Medicine Science and Technology Progress Award, and the third prize in the 2021 China Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine Science and Technology Progress Award. Dr. Jiang has been awarded the Young Pearl River Scholar, the Guangdong Province May Fourth Youth Medal, and recognized as a Guangdong Province Young Post-Able Hand.
