Dr. Wang graduated in 1998 from Shandong University Cheeloo College of Medicine, China then completed his residency and fellowship training in the Chinese PLA General Hospital, Peking, China. During 2007-2008 he worked as a postdoctoral scholar in the University of Texas, Galveston, USA. Since 2009, Dr. Wang has been a specialist in internal medicine (gastroenterology) in the Chinese PLA General Hospital. He is also an Associate Professor of Internal Medicine in the Chinese PLA Medical College.
Dr. Wang has practiced in the Chinese PLA General Hospital in Beijing for more than 20 years. As a physician, his expertise covers internal medicine and intensive care, oncology, endoscopy, nutrition and health such as obesity and weight control, gastrointestinal polyps removal and cancer screening, gastroesophageal reflux, gastrointestinal motility disorders (i.e. constipation, diarrhea), anemia and GI bleeding, fatty liver, gallbladder stone, hepatitis, pancreatitis, etc.
Dr. Wang has also served as a committee member in several leading Chinese medical societies including the Chinese Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and the Chinese Society of Gastroenterology. He was awarded Poster Champ Award during 2012 United European Gastroenterology Week in Amsterdam and the Alvarez Award for Electrogastrography during the 2013 International Workshop on Electrogastrography in San Diego, California. Dr. Wang has published six English articles in prominent western medical journals, including Journal of Gastroenterology and Hepatology.
