Biography

Dr. Ryou graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor’s Degree from Harvard University received his Doctorate in Medicine from Stanford University.  Prior to pursuing a medical career, he conducted research in eye development in the Department of Molecular and Cellular Biology at Harvard University.

Dr. Ryou completed his internship in general pediatrics at Columbia University / New York-Presbyterian Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital. After that he received his medical residency training at UCLA Mattel Children’s Hospital and Cedars Sinai Medical Center – with a special focus in pediatric critical care and cardiology. Finally Dr. Ryou graduated with honors from his resident class and was awarded the title of Chief Resident in Pediatrics.

Dr. Ryou has been practicing as an attending physician in general pediatrics for over ten years.  During this time, he has focused his practice on helping the underserved in both urban and rural locations. His current interest lies in the improvement of the delivery of healthcare to those most in need through advanced data analytics and innovations in medical technology.  Dr. Ryou is board-certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. He is also a member of the American Association for Physician Leadership and is BLS/ACLS/PALS – certified.

Dr. Ryou is fluent in English and proficient in Spanish.
