While prioritizing medication safety, we are also committed to improving the overall medical experience. Every doctor’s prescription is pre-reviewed by a pharmacist to ensure patient safety, and pharmacists provide essential drug information and consultations when dispensing medications.

We utilize an electronic prescription management system to maintain comprehensive patient medication records, allowing us to promptly identify drug allergies and interactions to ensure medication safety.

Providing consultation services on medication usage is a vital aspect of our pharmacy’s work. Our pharmacists are available to explain in detail how to use inhalers, the effects of your medications, and to collaborate with doctors in addressing your treatment-related questions.

Using an environmentally friendly, paperless transmission method, we deliver a wealth of information through face-to-face interactions. All medications we dispense are accompanied by labels and the doctor’s instructions, and upon request, we can also provide additional copies of this information.

Through rigorous selection and review by official authorities, Guangzhou United Family Hospital was officially designated as one of the first five medical institutions in the “Hong Kong and Macau Drug and Device Access” program on July 28, 2021. This designation allows us to introduce internationally marketed drugs and devices from Hong Kong and Macau, enabling patients to access imported original drugs and biological agents. Patients no longer need to wait or travel overseas to utilize innovative drugs and devices that are available in Hong Kong and Macau but not yet accessible in mainland China!

With the support of the “Hong Kong and Macau Drug and Device Access” program, our hospital has successfully obtained approval for 11 drug varieties and 16 different products, serving over a thousand patients.

The ultimate goal of the Guangzhou United Family Hospital’s “Hong Kong and Macau Drug and Device Access” project is to benefit patients, with zero markup on medications. In addition to the 11 approved drugs, we are continually applying for high-quality innovative drugs and devices that are not yet available in mainland China, aiming to help more patients access international treatments and advanced therapies as quickly as possible.
