
Cardiovascular Disease Diagnosis and Treatment Center
The Center provides comprehensive services for patients with coronary artery disease (CAD) and those at high risk for cardiovascular and cerebrovascular events, covering risk-factor identification, coronary lesion assessment, interventional therapy, post-procedure rehabilitation, and long-term management. For patients presenting with chest pain, coronary stenosis, or a history of coronary stenting, we formulate individualized diagnostic and treatment recommendations based on test results and overall cardiovascular risk.
In coronary interventions, the Center evaluates the use of imported stents, bioresorbable stents, and other interventional devices according to lesion characteristics and utilizes intracoronary imaging modalities such as IVUS and OCT to assess lesions and optimize treatment outcomes. Following intervention, patients continue to receive medication management, risk-factor control, cardiac rehabilitation, including enhanced external counterpulsation (EECP), and long-term cardiovascular and cerebrovascular follow-up.

Center Highlights
Chest Pain and CAD Risk Assessment
Patients experiencing chest pain, chest tightness, exertional dyspnea, or coronary stenosis identified at other hospitals often require further evaluation to determine whether their symptoms are related to CAD and whether additional testing or intervention is necessary. The Center integrates electrocardiography, Holter monitoring, echocardiography, coronary CTA, coronary angiography, lipid profiling, and cardiac biomarker testing to assess CAD risk, the severity of coronary stenosis, and appropriate next steps in management.
Imported Stents and Bioresorbable (Biodegradable) Stents
For patients who are candidates for coronary intervention, the Center performs coronary angiography, percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI), and stent implantation. We have access to imported coronary stents and bioresorbable stents. Device selection is based on lesion location, vessel diameter, plaque characteristics, bleeding risk, post-procedure medication requirements, and long-term patient needs. Bioresorbable stents are not suitable for all coronary lesions and are used only when approved indications, device specifications, and hospital compliance requirements are met.
IVUS/OCT Intracoronary Imaging Guidance
Coronary angiography primarily visualizes the vessel lumen; however, some complex lesions require further assessment of plaque characteristics, vessel-wall structure, and stent status. When clinically indicated, the Center uses intravascular ultrasound (IVUS) or optical coherence tomography (OCT) to assist in evaluating vessel diameter, lesion length, plaque composition, stent expansion, and stent apposition, providing detailed imaging support for device selection and interventional planning.
Complex Coronary Lesion Intervention
For calcified lesions, bifurcation lesions, long lesions, or in-stent restenosis, the interventional team evaluates the use of drug-coated balloons, rotational atherectomy, and other advanced interventional techniques. Treatment plans are individualized based on lesion characteristics, prior stenting history, cardiac and renal function, and peri-procedural risk.
Arrhythmia and Structural Cardiovascular Assessment
For patients with palpitations, bradycardia, tachycardia, abnormal Holter findings, presyncope, or adult congenital heart disease-related conditions, the Center provides comprehensive arrhythmia and structural cardiovascular evaluations, with further diagnostic testing, interventional procedures, or long-term follow-up arranged as clinically indicated.
Long-term Cardiovascular and Cerebrovascular Management
Patients with CAD, hypertension, heart failure, dyslipidemia, or post-intervention status require ongoing management of blood pressure, lipid levels, glucose control, body weight, smoking cessation, sleep health, and medication adherence. The Center integrates coronary disease management with cerebrovascular risk assessment, using prior cardiovascular and cerebrovascular events, carotid and cerebral imaging findings, atrial fibrillation risk, and metabolic parameters to guide follow-up care and medication adjustments. This approach helps avoid the isolated management of individual risk factors while ensuring comprehensive risk reduction.
Enhanced External Counterpulsation and Cardiac Rehabilitation
For suitable patients with CAD, angina, post-intervention status, or reduced exercise tolerance, the Center incorporates EECP as part of a comprehensive cardiac rehabilitation program. EECP uses sequential lower-extremity cuff inflation and deflation synchronized with the cardiac cycle to improve diastolic coronary perfusion and venous return. Before treatment, cardiac function, blood pressure, heart rhythm, vascular status, and potential contraindications are assessed. The therapy is combined with exercise prescription, nutritional guidance, medication optimization, and risk-factor management to support long-term cardiovascular health.
