Biography

Dr. Chen received his medical degree from Sun Yat-sen University in 2008. He did his residency at the Third Affiliated Hospital, Sun Yat-sen University, where he worked in the emergency room for seven years before joining United Family Healthcare (UFH).

During that time he was awarded his Master’s degree and in 2015, Dr. Chen joined the Emergency Medicine Fellow Training Program in UFH, rotating in Shanghai United Family Hospital and Beijing United Family Hospital. As part of the fellowship training program, he spent time in State University of New York Downstate (SUNY Downstate) and Kings County Hospital for further study. He began working in Guangzhou United Family Hospital in 2018.

Dr. Chen has a wealth of experience in emergency medicine, and can handle both adult and pediatric emergency situations. He holds certifications from the American Heart Association in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS). He’s particularly proud of providing medical support as an emergency specialist in public events such as the Guangzhou Marathon, as well as charity work in Gansu with the Hanhong Love Charity Foundation.

Dr. Chen speaks English, Mandarin, Cantonese, and Teochew (Chaoshan Dialect).
